Zoffany’s Emperors Musician wallpaper in La Seine captures the quiet drama of an 18th-century chinoiserie scene.
Trailing floral vines create an open frame around the emperor’s musician, while birds and peacocks gather in finely observed detail.
The composition is drawn from a historic wallpaper document and is thought to be inspired by Jean-Baptiste Pillement.
In La Seine (313048), the palette introduces softness and quiet depth, allowing the decorative scene to feel atmospheric yet composed.
The design is available in three colourways, each offering a distinct interpretation of this richly detailed archive pattern.
Printed on a fine textile-backed ground, the wallcovering has the depth and softness of fabric-covered walls, combining traditional character with contemporary craftsmanship.
Emperors Musician is sold by the metre (random cut).
Due to the natural characteristics of this textile-backed wallcovering, subtle variation between drops may occur, creating a refined panelled effect once installed.
Zoffany recommends the use of a professional decorator for installation.
All Zoffany wallpapers are delivered with no additional import duties, customs charges, or hidden fees for Ireland.
