Zoffany’s Eastern Palace wallcovering takes inspiration from the beauty and spirit of Japan.
Hand-drawn by Zoffany collaborator Sam Wilde, this remarkable artwork embodies the Japanese concept of fuubutsushi — the feelings, scents, and images that evoke memories of a particular season.
The intricate design depicts a journey across Japan’s four main islands, featuring palaces, temples, and giant kamis (spirits) woven through a magical landscape of pagodas, trees, and sea creatures.
Printed on an irregular grass cloth, Eastern Palace brings a striking sense of texture and depth to any space.
Presented in a single, elegant Indigo colourway, this wide-width wallcovering is sold by the metre.
