Sanderson Eggplant is a deep, luxurious muted purple-grey with a beautifully smoky character. Infused with subtle black pigment, this refined shade shifts mood depending on the light — feeling soft, elegant, and gently opulent in bright spaces, yet mysterious, moody, and richly atmospheric in darker rooms.
This versatile purple-grey sits effortlessly within both period interiors and modern design-led homes, offering incredible depth without overpowering a scheme.
Eggplant is a stunning choice for bedrooms, dining rooms, studies, hallways, reading nooks, and dramatic feature walls, where its velvety undertone creates a sense of quiet sophistication.
Eggplant pairs beautifully with complementary Sanderson shades such as Dusty Lilac and Lilac Shadow, creating layered tonal purple palettes with contemporary elegance.
For a cleaner contrast, it also works wonderfully with crisp off-whites or warm neutrals, allowing its smoky depth to shine.
